Being among leaders in sustainability for eight years, in 2019 Coca‑Cola HBC Latvia has reached the highest evaluation – Platinum category of the national Sustainability Index!
“For a decade, the bravest and most responsible Latvian entrepreneurs have participated in the Sustainability Index to evaluate their performance, identify shortcomings and make improvements. Over these ten years, we have not only developed the evaluation process, but also seen an increased awareness of responsibility principles among entrepreneurs, which is evidenced by the high level of performance and the large number of platinum rating recipients. It is time to take the next step, which means that next year experts will be evaluating not only the processes and risk management mechanisms, but also the actual impact of Latvian companies on people, the environment and economy,” says Dace Helmane, the CEO of Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility and organiser of the Sustainability Index.
The Sustainability Index is a strategic management tool based on globally recognised methodology that helps Latvian companies to diagnose and improve their sustainability and corporate responsibility.
The Sustainability Index considers compliance with five criteria: strategy, work environment, market relationships, external environment and public relations, with the rating scale divided into four levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
